Ram Katha

Live With Hanuman Dass
A journey into the heart of the Ramayana, exploring love (bhakti) of Ram

Ram Katha With Hanuman Dass

Starting May 13th - August 12th
A 14 weeks journey into the heart of the Ramayana, exploring love (bhakti) of Ram.

“Sri Guru Charan Saroj Raj, Nij Manu Mukur Sudhari
Baranau Raghuvar Bimal Jasu, Jo Dayaku Phal Chari”

With the dust of the Guru’s lotus feet, I cleanse the mirror of my mind. I describe the pure glory of Shri Ram, which bestows the four fruits of life.

This is a guided journey into the Ramcharitmanas of Tulsidas over 14 weeks

We will move through the Katha together allowing its love, beauty, depth, and devotion to unfold in a natural way.

It is not about rushing through a text or trying to understand everything intellectually. It is about entering a sacred heart space and letting the words do their quiet work within you.

A living tradition

For centuries, the Ramcharitmanas has not just been read, it has been a movement of love, especially across Northern India.

Mahatma Gandhi held the name of Ram at the centre of his life, returning to it as a source of truth and inner strength. Rabindranath Tagore spoke of the Ramayana tradition as something that lives in the hearts of people, not just in books and Vinoba Bhave said it was like the Bible and Shakespeare combined.

For my Guru, Neem Karoli Baba, the Ramcharitmanas was not philosophy, but love in its purest form. He encouraged constant remembrance of Ram, and for many, simply being in the presence of the Katha became a path to transformation. When I read the Ramcharitmanas I feel I am entering into Maharaji’s love.

Why Ram Katha?

The questions that live within the Katha are the same ones we carry in our own lives..

  • How do we remain steady when things feel uncertain?

  • How do we respond with clarity instead of reaction?

  • How do we live with love, even when life is not easy?

The Katha does not try to give quick answers. Instead, it offers a way of seeing, a way of being, and over time, something within begins to settle as we polish the mirror of our hearts with love.

What this journey will be like

Each session is an opportunity to pause and step out of the pace of everyday life. We will read the Ramcharitmanas together in English, exploring it verse by verse, and reflecting on its meaning in a way that connects to our own experience.

There will be time for simple, guided meditation, moments of silence, and space for questions and shared reflections.

Who is this for?

This space may resonate if you feel drawn to Ram, bhakti, or with the teachings of Ram Dass. It is for anyone seeking something sincere and grounding, and for those who want to feel more steady, open, and at peace in their daily life.

No prior knowledge is needed. Only a willingness to be present and enter into the sacred waters of Ramas acts.

“Ram naam mani deep dharu, jeeh dehri dwar
Tulsi bhitar baherahu, jo chahasi ujiyar”

Place the jewel lamp of Ram’s name at the doorway of your tongue. Tulsidas says it will bring light both within and without.

A personal reflection...

Hanuman Dass

“KK Sah gave me the Ramcharitmanas and it has never felt like just a book. It feels alive. There are moments in the Katha where something shifts quietly inside, where the heart softens and a sense of closeness to something deeper begins to arise.

I find myself returning to it again and again, not for answers, but to be reminded of the unconditional love that we are all a part of.”
