In the celestial dance of our solar system, the recent visibility of Jupiter and Mars, and other planets serve as a profound reminder of the vastness and interconnectedness of the universe. These cosmic bodies, each traversing their unique paths, mirror the journey of the soul as described in the Bhagavad Gita—a journey from darkness to light, from ignorance to wisdom.
The Gita teaches us that, much like the planets orbiting the sun, our lives revolve around the divine. The pursuit of self-realisation and alignment with our dharma is our true purpose.
Observing Jupiter, often associated with wisdom and spiritual growth, alongside Mars, symbolising strength and courage, we are inspired to cultivate these qualities within ourselves. This celestial event, occuring during the great Kumbh Mela, encourages us to reflect on our inner universe, to harmonise our actions with the greater cosmic order, and to recognise the divine light that guides us on our spiritual journey.
As we gaze upon these planets illuminating the night sky, let us remember that the same divine essence pervades all of creation, urging us to live in harmony, pursuing a dharmic life, and seeking the eternal truth that lies within.
For a deeper exploration of these themes, you may want to join us every Wednesday for the Journey Within, talks on the Bhagavad Gita. There will be no session next week as I will be travelling to the World Economic Forum in Davos to share the dharma.
You can also access last week’s talk on YouTube: The Key to Overcoming Challenges in Life. And keep an eye out for the second instalment which will be uploaded soon.
